Training

At Just U Fitness, I only offer private one-on-one and small group training (max 3 people) which means you get a lot of one-on-one time with me during sessions.

Whether we do strength training, aerobic training, or both together depends on your goals. Outside of your times together, I also prescribe specific exercises for you to do. Sometimes, my female clients are concerned about doing strength training as they “don’t want to get big muscles” or they are afraid of free weights. Strength training can involve weights but it can also be done with just your own body weight. You don’t have to have any experience with strength training as my goal is to guide you and use the best techniques to help you reach your goals without pushing you too far out of your comfort zone. I do include strength training in all programs as it’s key to almost every goal (better mobility, flexibility, posture, strength, etc) including losing weight. Building muscle tissue burns more calories — even when you’re at rest — than body fat! And don’t worry, you won’t get big muscles working with me….unless you want to!

Nutrition Planning

Basic nutrition planning is included with training at a high level (ie. macro nutrient recommendations, recommendations of foods to reduce or eliminate based on current diet, etc).

What to Expect Once You Contact Me

If you are interested in training or if you have questions, head to the contact page and send me a message! I will get back to you withing one business day and we will set up a time to chat to discuss what you are looking for and what your goals are.

If we feel we might be a good fit together, we would move to the next stage which includes:

  • Intake Questionnaire: Once you’ve decided you are interested in learning more, I will send you a link to an intake questionnaire which helps me get a better idea of your past experience with working out and nutrition and what goals you are trying to accomplish. There is also a health screen to determine whether you need a medical release from your doctor to begin working out or not. These forms are all completed and submitted online so no need to print anything out.
  • Initial Consultation/Assessment: Our first meeting is complimentary. During this time we will go over your intake form, outline your goals, take body measurements (using least obtrusive methods), assess posture, cardio, flexibility, and strength.
  • Personalized Plan: Once the initial consultation/assessment has been completed, I have the data needed to create your personalized plan. We will review and measure performance every 4 weeks (or at an agreed upon time frame). I strongly believe that anything not tracked or measured doesn’t improve or get done!

Pricing

Small Group Training:

2 person groups = $45 (plus HST) per person per session

3-4 person groups = $40 (plus HST) per person per session

One-on-One Private Training: 1 time per week is $70 (plus HST) per hour; 2 times or more is $65 (plus HST) per hour.
